About the Founder
With over 20 years of experience in the Marine Construction and Foundation Industry, Jack Fulford brings a deep commitment to excellence, integrity, and result-driven leadership. As the former Owner and CEO of one of Florida’s most respected marine construction firms—Midcoast Marine Group—Jack led the company to an elite status before its successful acquisition by MarineMax Inc. in 2022.
Following the acquisition, Jack served as Director of Construction and Development at MarineMax, where he continued to build on his extensive background in marine infrastructure and complex commercial marine projects across Florida.
In 2025, driven by a renewed entrepreneurial vision, Jack founded SOLAS CO., short for Structures Over Land And Sea. Headquartered in Florida, SOLAS is poised to become a leading force in the deep foundation, pile driving, shoreline stabilization, shoring, and marine infrastructure industry, set to service the Southeastern United States.
Jack’s experience spans the construction of marinas, bridges, sheet pile walls, port rehabilitation, deep foundations, and shoreline restoration projects—successfully delivering both government and private-sector contracts. He is a licensed certified general contractor, certified underground utility contractor, and certified specialty marine contractor in the state of Florida.
At his core, Jack is a hands-on leader who believes in doing what he says he’ll do, standing by his work, and earning trust through results. His success has been built not only on technical expertise, but on repeat clients who return because they value his reliability, transparency, and dedication.
